Take the S 16 expressway from Vorarlberg to Tyrol, going over the Arlberg Pass or through the Arlberg Tunnel to Landeck. Take the A 12 motorway toward Innsbruck and, after the Roppen Tunnel, take the Ötztal exit and proceed on B 186 for 49 kilometres.
From the north:
Once you have passed Bad Tölz and the Achen Pass, proceed on B 181, pass Jenbach and continue on A 12 toward Bregenz. Take the Ötztal exit and proceed on B 186 for 49 kilometres.

Arriving from Pfronten, pass through Reutte and go over the Fern Pass to Imst. Take the A 12 motorway toward Innsbruck. Go through the Roppen Tunnel and take the Ötztal exit. Alternatively, you can skip the motorway and take B 171 from Imst to Ötztal (tax-free). Then proceed on B 186 for 49 kilometres to Sölden.
If you come from the direction of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, pass through Ehrwald and Lermoos and go over the Fern Pass to Imst and take A 12 toward Innsbruck. Pass the Roppen Tunnel and take the Ötztal exit. Instead of the motorway, you can also take B 171 from Imst to Ötztal (tax-free). Proceed on B 186 for 49 kilometres to Sölden.
From Garmisch-Partenkirchen, you can also pass through Mittenwald, Scharnitz, Seefeld in Tyrol, and Telfs and take the A 12 motorway toward Bregenz or the B 171 to Ötztal (tax-free). Then take the Ötztal exit and proceed on B 186 for 49 kilometres.
From the east:
If you arrive from Munich or Salzburg, take the A 93 motorway to Kufstein and continue on A 12 toward Bregenz via Innsbruck. Take the Ötztal exit and proceed on B 186 for 49 kilometres.
From the south:
Coming from Bolzano, you have to go over the Brenner Pass, where you will have to pay a toll. Continue on the Brenner motorway and pass the Schönberg tollbooth to proceed to Innsbruck. From there, take the A 12 motorway toward Bregenz. Take the Ötztal exit and continue on B 186 for 49 kilometres.
